Top model Alessandra Ambrosio designed a collection for Melissa

At The Coolture we love the ecological and sustainable plastic shoes of Melissa. The most recent new of this Brazilian successful brand is that the top model Alessandra Ambrosio, one of Victoria Secret´s Angels, has designed two models for them (the Melissa Incense Glitter and the Melissa Divine), the first in a new series called Melissa Loves. Vivienne Westwood, Jean Paul Gaultier, Jason Wu, Zaha Hadid, Gareth Pugh, among others, have also designed some models for the company, that counts Natalie Portmant or Diane Kruger among its fans.

The ecological shoes of Melissa

Melissa shoes are recyclable and are fabricated using a material called Meflex, a sort of flexible plastic, waterproof, resistant, 100% hypoallergenic and non harmful for health. They also use a material developed by them that look like velvet: the Velvet Meflex. For the Spring/Summer 2012 collection, Melissa, that produces shoes for women and children, proposes the Color Smoke collection, that includes comfortable and very stylish flat shoes, moccasins and high-heeled shoes.
