When an aimless young man moves to live aboard a sailboat on New York City’s East River
Angelfish is a short film by Michael Tyburski, a very talented director whose work I came across recently and I’m pretty excited to show. He was the cinematographer for the SXSW Grand Jury Winner William and the Windmill, and his short film Palimpsest won a Special Jury Award at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival. What I like about Michael Tyburski‘s work is that he combine very well ingredients that for me make a film great: a good story, cinematography, performances, music. But there is something else, an intimatimacy like in Angelfish, that makes you feel closer to the characters. I will definitely keep an eye on this director to show more of his works at The Coolture.
