All the way

A visual poem inspired by Charles Bukowski

When I was in high school I read Charles Bukowski´s “South of No North” and I remember been struck by how raw and powerful his writing was. He became one of my favorite writers but did not went back to his dirty realism until I run into Willem Martinot´s piece “All the way”. It is based on Bukowski´s poem “Roll The Dice” and it is the first article I put on thecoolture for a while  ;)

if you’re going to try,
go all the way.
there is no other feeling like that.
you will be alone with the gods
and the nights will flame with fire.

you will ride life
straight to perfect laughter,
it’s the only good fight there is.

(Charles Bukowski)
